Rekindle is a mental health charity (established 1998) based in Newtown, Mid-Wales providing services in Mid-Wales and the borders.
Since 2014 we have focused entirely on the Small Steps Project which works with young people aged 16 to 25. Early intervention is vital as these are the years where our futures are shaped and we can transform lives.
We support over 100 clients at any one time and offer essential rapid response. Small Steps is a unique hub offering professional help guidance and mutual support through the supervised Peer 2 Peer group. To know you are not alone is the start of recovery.
We offer a recovery service using the Recovery model which is focused on the individual, their needs and improving their life-chances; giving the tools for better mental health and then empowering each person to broaden their horizons and achieve their goals.
“I’m Moving Forward . . .”
Mental illness can be so life-limiting and damaging but, when recovery begins, it’s worth thinking about what’s possible. That confident, high-achieving version of yourself does exist but, just because you feel incapable right now, doesn’t mean it will always be the case.
Referrals come from a wide network of organisations including local NHS, Police, Schools and Colleges. Clients can self-refer. Rekindle relies mainly on non-statutory fund raising.
