Become A Friend of Rekindle
By becoming a Friend of Rekindle you will be supporting our mission to get young people talking about mental health. We are seeking individuals who can support our small charity, volunteer and represent Rekindle within our local community and further a field.
Friends of Rekindle was established in 2022 and it’s membership is open to all - individuals, organisations, relatives, and those who have used our services.
The ways in which Friends can contribute are diverse, ranging from organising local fundraising events to volunteering and providing essential resources for young people struggling with their mental health.
If you’re interested in joining our cause as a Friend, simply subscribe to our newsletter and reach out to hello@rekindle.org.uk to discuss how you can play a part.

Legacy Gifts -
Empower Today's Youth for a Healthier Tomorrow
Leaving a gift in your Will is a very special way to help support the mental health and wellbeing of young people in Mid Wales.
We know that your family and friends will always come first, but when writing your Will, please do consider your legacy in helping to end young people struggling with their mental health for good.
We understand that leaving a gift in your Will is a huge decision, and we want to make sure that you have all of the information you need to be comfortable with your decision.
As detailed by the Fundraising Regulator, ‘It is sensible to seek independent legal advice if you are thinking of leaving a charitable gift in your will to ensure you have fulfilled the necessary legal requirements. Further information on accessing legal advice can be found on the Citizens Advice website.’
Thank you for your support.
Since its inception in 1997 Rekindle has worked alongside people struggling with their mental health. We now focus on 16-25 year olds to offer early intervention and prevention for those at risk of mental health problems or those already suffering mental distress such as depression, anxiety or who are self-harming.
In the six months from November 2023 – April 2024 our referrals increased by over 100% when compared with the same period in 2022-2023. We continue to receive requests for support direct from young people, their families and statutory and third sector services in Mid Wales.
According to a Senedd Research article published in 2022, ‘research has found that for every 100 adults in Wales, 47 suffered at least one ACE [adverse childhood experience] during their childhood and 14 suffered four or more.’ It also asserts that mental health is affected by poverty. Since the report was published the nation has faced further challenges with the cost of living crisis. Add to this the isolation of rural living and subsequent limited access to services and you can see why the need for Rekindle and organisations like us is growing.
Legacy gifts ensure that Rekindle can continue to furnish today's youth with the essential support to enhance their mental well-being, cultivate resilience, and embrace a healthy future.
