Rekindle, Mid Wales’ only charity solely focused on supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people aged 16-25, is thrilled to announce the expansion of its much-needed services from Newtown into Welshpool.
Building on the success of our established hub in Newtown, this new service marks an exciting step forward in making sure more young people across the region can access early, person-centred support when they need it most.
A Voice from Our Young People
One young person captured what Rekindle means to them:“Without Rekindle, I’d never have got where I am. When I was falling apart, they helped me to piece myself back together.”
It’s stories like this that remind us why expansion matters - every town we reach means more young lives supported, more confidence rebuilt, and more hope restored.
What’s On Offer in Welshpool
Counselling - confidential, person-centred sessions available all day every Wednesday, offering a vital space for young people to explore thoughts, feelings, and challenges.
Wellbeing Support - practical guidance and encouragement to tackle life’s challenges and set meaningful goals - Wednesday afternoons.
Groups & Activities - a safe, friendly space every Tuesday afternoon with free refreshments, Wi-Fi, games, and creative workshops to bring young people together.
Where You’ll Find Us
Counselling & Wellbeing Support – Wednesdays at the Integrated Family Centre, Oldford Close, Welshpool (SY21 7SX)
Groups & Activities - Tuesdays, 1–4pm at The Feathers, Howell Road, Welshpool (SY21 7AT)

Looking Ahead
The launch in Welshpool is not just another service - it’s a milestone. By extending our reach beyond Newtown, Rekindle is strengthening its commitment to ensuring no young person in Mid Wales has to face mental health challenges alone.
This is a moment to celebrate, and a reminder of what’s possible when we work together to support the next generation. A huge thank you to PAVO for their funding support, and to the Millennium Stadium Community Fund for providing transport to help young people access our services.
